Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s Answer to PlayStation Now

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer introduced on the Xbox Wire a new gaming subscription service launching later this spring. According to the blog, the new service named Xbox Game Pass offers unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One titles and backward compatible Xbox 360 games for a monthly charge of $9.99.

The service works by downloading the full title to the Xbox One instead of streaming the game experience like its direct competitor, PlayStation Now. Members of the new Xbox Game Pass will have discounts available if they decide to buy the game after its downloaded, and new games will cycle in and out continuously.

More details the release date are coming soon so stay tuned.

Do you think Xbox Game Pass has an advantage over PS Now by downloading the game to the HD?
